🏖️ Swim At The Beach – In our experience, Alegria Beach is the best beach there is on the island for swimming. The beach is pristine and well-kept, doesn’t have much stones, and the water is crystal clear.
🍺 Enjoy Beer And Pizza At Coconut Nut – The Coconut Nut just moved back to Alegria Beach. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the island-vibes with a cold red horse beer and one of their signature pizzas.
🏠 Spend A Night At The Homestay Across From Coconut Nut – If you want to spend a night at an affordable beachside accommodation in Alegria, inquire about the one across from Coconut Nut with the Coconut Nut staff. It isn’t available on Airbnb, as it is only available on a referral basis.
4. Comfort Food at Hilner’s Beach Resort
A newly opened place to stay overnight worth checking out is Hilner’s Beach Resort, which has Manding’s Kitchen inside. This beachfront restaurant serves a wide variety of comfort food, from fresh kinilaw to crispy sisig, delicious pizza, and creamy pasta. Decadent, delicious, and right by the beach—what more could you ask for?
What To Try At Manding’s Kitchen:
🍝 Truffle Carbonara Pasta – This rich and creamy pasta dish is what stood out to me the most on their menu. Perfectly-cooked pasta, an elegant truffle cream sauce, and bits of bacon that will make you want to come back for more.
🍤 Gambas Al Ajillo – Hands down the best version of this dish on the island. The garlic-seasoned olive oil sauce is so flavorful you’ll be left wondering how something could taste that good.
🍹 Mojito – Fresh mint is widely grown in Siargao, and Manding’s wisely leverages that in their refreshing mojitos. Oddly they are one of the few places on the island that adds soda water to their mojitos, making this one of the best ones you can find on the island.
5. The Best View & Food at Trogon’s Perch
Now, let’s talk about the star of the north—Trogon’s Perch. This little lighthouse offers the best view on the entire island. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, this is the place to reset and recharge. But it’s not just about the view—this is also one of Siargao Island’s top culinary destinations.
