From local delicacies in Siargao to world-class dining experiences, this place has something for everyone. Here are some of my absolute favorite finds so far (in no particular order because they’re all THAT good!).
Las Palmas
This is a great place for a relaxing breakfast or lunch in General Luna, Siargao. They have delicious coffee, a fantastic smoked salmon English muffin, and a creamy Basque Burnt Cheesecake that’s to die for. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, making it a great place to unwind.

La Carinderia
If you’re searching for a restaurant in Siargao with a unique twist, La Carinderia is a standout choice. This charming spot masterfully blends Filipino and Italian flavors, offering some of the best food in this island paradise. Their creamy carbonara is unforgettable, and the seafood pasta is a must-try for seafood lovers. Don’t miss their pumpkin polpetta (pumpkin croquettes) appetizer—it’s the perfect way to start your meal. With its fun and chill vibe, La Carinderia is an excellent pick for enjoying food in Siargao with friends.

White Beard Coffee
This is a great place to start your day with a delicious breakfast and a cup of coffee. Their eggs benedict is great – the hollandaise sauce is creamy and flavorful, and the poached eggs are cooked perfectly. They are known for serving some of the best coffee in Siargao, you need to try their mocha – it’s rich, chocolatey, and the perfect way to wake up.

Amon Cafe
For a laid-back breakfast or brunch, Amon Cafe is a gem of a find. Their big breakfast is a feast – it comes with eggs cooked to your liking, toast, and a delicious pork overload with fried pork and meatballs. But the best part about Amon Cafe is that they serve pupcups! So you can bring your furry friends along and treat them to a delicious whipped cream snack.

Phin and Pho
If you’re craving Vietnamese food in Siargao, this is the place to go! Their pho is just as good as the pho I had in Hanoi – The broth is so flavorful and the noodles are perfectly cooked. The bun cha is also delicious – it’s a grilled pork dish with a sweet and savory sauce paired with rice noodles plus herbs. And don’t forget to try their iced coffee and passionfruit juice – they’re the perfect refreshing drinks.

Lamari
This place totally blew me away! The food was incredible – I had the steak, and it was cooked to perfection. It practically melted in my mouth! The beef salpicao was also amazing – so flavorful and tender. The restaurant itself is gorgeous – modern and stylish with lots of plants and open space. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed meal or some delicious cocktails.

Las Barricas
This Spanish and Mexican restaurant is a must-try in General Luna! Their fabada is a hearty stew with tender beans and flavorful chorizo that melts in your mouth. The gambas al ajillo is another winner – the shrimp is perfectly cooked and swimming in a delicious garlicky sauce that I could drink with a spoon! I also loved their tacos de carnitas – the pork is so tender and flavorful, it practically falls apart in your hands. And to top it all off, their red sangria is the perfect refreshing drink to complement the rich flavors of the food.

Lokal Hub
For a taste of home-cooked Filipino food in Siargao, Lokal Hub is the place to be. Their adobo bowl is a classic Filipino dish made with chicken (or pork) braised in a savory sauce of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns. It’s served with fluffy rice and fresh vegetables, and it’s just like a warm hug from your mom! I also loved their isda (fish) bowl, which features fresh, flaky fish cooked to perfection and served with healthy veggies. Don’t forget to try their homemade coconut ice cream – it’s so creamy and delicious, and not too sweet!

Kermit
When it comes to pizza or salad in Siargao, Kermit is my go-to spot. Their wood-fired pizzas have a crispy crust and are loaded with fresh toppings. My personal favorite is the Margherita Pizza. The salads are equally fantastic, they’re always fresh and have a variety of delicious ingredients.

Drunken Sushi
I had heard so many good things about this sushi place in Siargao, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The sushi is incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the presentation is beautiful. I loved the Spicy Tuna Roll – it has just the right amount of kick. The Sakura Sushi is another favorite – it’s made with tuna, mango, teriyaki sauce, and tempura flakes, and it’s a delicious combination of sweet and savory flavors. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try the Truffle Aburi Maki – it’s their best-seller for a reason!

Nami
Another standout restaurant in Siargao is Nami, perfect for Japanese food lovers. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including sushi, sashimi, and kani salad. The sushi is made with fresh fish and has that perfect balance of flavors. The kani salad is also delicious – it’s creamy and refreshing. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

Bebie’s BBQ
When it comes to affordable and authentic food in General Luna, Bebie’s BBQ is unbeatable and my favorite place to get BBQ. Their prices are very reasonable, and the food is amazing. They have all the classic BBQ dishes, like chicken and pork, but they also have some unique options, like kinilaw (a Filipino ceviche) and sisig (a sizzling pork dish). Their signature sweet sauce is the perfect complement to the smoky flavors of the BBQ.

This restaurant is very popular in Siargao, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation if you want to try it. I was lucky enough to get a table for lunch, and I was blown away by their guyam. It’s a dish made with fish, crispy pork belly, coconut vinegar, peppers, and vegetables, and it’s absolutely delicious. The fish is cooked perfectly, the pork belly is crispy and flavorful, and the sauce is tangy and delicious. It’s served with fluffy garlic rice that soaks up all the flavors.

Jorene’s Homemade Ice Cream
If you have a sweet tooth, you need to try Jorene’s! Their halo-halo is the best I’ve ever had. It’s a refreshing dessert made with shaved ice, sweetened beans, fruits, jellies, and leche flan, and it’s topped with a scoop of their delicious homemade ice cream. The ice cream is so creamy and flavorful, and it comes in a variety of unique flavors. The portions are huge, so it’s perfect for sharing (or not!).

I’m a big fan of burgers, and Backside Burger makes some of the best I’ve ever had. I tried the Backside Bacon Burger, and it was amazing! The patty was juicy and flavorful, the toppings were fresh, and the brioche bun was perfectly toasted. It’s the perfect comfort food.

This social enterprise is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal while also supporting a good cause in Northern Siargao. They have a variety of healthy and flavorful dishes, including their famous squash donuts, which are a must-try! They also have delicious bowls and crispy fries. And if you need a caffeine fix, their coffee is strong and aromatic. The restaurant has a beautiful beachfront view and reliable WiFi, making it a great spot for digital nomads or anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the scenery.
